Today is the big day!
Here at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, we are demoing SocialFolders publicly for the first time!
We are also using the opportunity to open the beta program to everyone. There is no more need to apply for an invitation. If you want to give it a try, just go to our new websiteand download the application. Once installed, you will be able to sign up and sync your social sites immediately. And it’s still and will remain free.

But the biggest news is that SocialFolders is getting …social! We are uncovering a brand new feature that will give a new, social dimension to your file system. You will be able to add friends through SocialFolders and download automatically on your computer the photos, videos and documents that they share with you through their social sites.
Ever wanted to get on your computer the holiday pictures that another family member has shared with you on Flickr? Or, the great party pictures that your friend has posted on Facebook from her smartphone? Now this is possible with SocialFolders, without even having to go to these websites.
Add friends on SocialFolders, select the social site you want to get access to and pick the album of your choice – or even all the future albums of this person. You will start to receive daily updates right away.
We support sharing through Flickr and Facebook for the launch of the open beta program. Other social sites will follow very soon. If you want more information about the feature, check our new website, we have a FAQ and a Getting Started page with all the details. And you’re always welcome to email us at hello@socialfolders.me.
Enjoy and let us know how it goes for you!
